2011 NECA Australian Capital Territory Apprentice Awards
The NECA ACT Apprentice Awards are now closed for nominations. The awards recognise excellence and the achievements of apprentices in the Electrotechnology industry in Australia.
NECA has long had a commitment to training, especially training of apprentices as we recognise this is the future of the industry in terms of both tradespeople and managers and understand that encouraging and nurturing apprentices is fundamental to our industry’s future.
The awards are designed to recognise and reward apprentices and their employers for outstanding performance and commitment to the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for employers who have dedicated time, effort and resources to the future of our industry to gain recognition from their peers and from the community.
NECA has been involved with apprentice awards for three decades and we will continue to work to ensure a high level of awareness and respect for electrical and communications apprentices in the future.
Nominations are open to fourth year apprentices, or recently graduated apprentices, who have completed their TAFE or other RTO training and who have excelled in any area of their training. The awards acknowledge achievement in personal development, effort, academic attainment and workplace competency.
Entrants will be assessed in the following categories:
1. Industrial Award
2. Commercial/Domestic Award
3. Communications Award
Please note that an employee can only enter in one category and not have been previously nominated.
State first, second and third placegetters will receive a monetary prize and be invited to collect their awards at the Excellence Awards function, along with their employers who will also receive a certificate of recognition, at the Hotel Realm, Barton on Friday, 26 August 2011.
Completed nominations must have been received by Friday 10 June 2011.
