EGT Charge-out rate discount changes - What you need to know
As you may be aware from our recent communications, ECA WA’s local WA team have been providing your business membership services for many years as part of an arrangement with NECA WA, giving you membership to both organisations.
This arrangement is scheduled to conclude on 30 June. After this date, you will have the opportunity to set up a payment agreement directly with ECA WA if you wish to continue to access the highly regarded membership support and services that ECA WA provides.
EGT's apprentice charge-out rate discount will soon be exclusive to ECA WA members
One of our most valuable member benefits is Electrical Group Training’s (EGT’s) 5% apprentice charge-out rate discount, which has saved many WA businesses thousands in workforce costs.
From July onwards, this discount will only be available to businesses who are paying members of ECA WA.
ECA WA payment agreement deadline to maintain your EGT discount
If you currently host an EGT apprentice, or plan to in the future, we want to ensure you are aware that in order to maintain or receive this discount, you will need to set up a payment agreement for membership with ECA WA directly by the end of July.
As a reminder, the following table provides a snapshot of the potential savings businesses are eligible for through their ECA WA membership.
Potential annual savings, per apprentice, for ECA WA members
* The potential annual saving figures are indicative only and apply per apprentice, per year. The figures are based on charge-out rates applicable 7 August 2023 (before funding and discounts) and are based on the apprentice completing 31 ordinary hours per week, for 46 working weeks in a year. Terms and conditions apply and the final figure depends on individual factors.
